Cesari & Contemporary Soul: Discovering Amarone Bosan Excellence in Rome and Milan

Bottles of Cesari Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva Bosan displayed on a red Venetian terrazzo counter for a vertical tasting event at BIVIUM Six Senses Rome.

In 2026, Cesari’s Contemporary Soul embarks on a new journey, debuting in Italy’s most iconic fine dining locations – from the heart of the Capital to Milan’s historic Galleria. This exclusive tour merges heritage, time, and vision: these are not merely dinners, but high-end encounters designed to celebrate the essence of Valpolicella through the winery’s most profound icon: Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva Bosan.

Six Faces, One Soul: The Evolution of Amarone Bosan

The highlight of both events was the “Six Faces, One Soul” concept. Guests enjoyed a vertical tasting of six historic vintages of Amarone Riserva Bosan – from 2015 back to 2003 – revealing the stylistic evolution and extraordinary ageing potential of this wine. Each vintage showcased a unique personality while staying true to the elegance and structure that define Cesari’s contemporary soul.

A Sensory Journey Guided by Winemaker Michele Gamba

Under the technical and narrative guidance of our winemaker, Michele Gamba, guests explored the nuances of the 2015, 2013, 2012, 2007, 2006, and 2003 Reserves. This emotional journey paired each glass with gourmet dishes specifically designed to enhance the wine’s character and complexity.

The experience opened with the vibrant freshness of Valpolicella Classico DOC 2024 “on the rocks”—a bold and modern prelude—and concluded with the meditative, enveloping sweetness of Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2019.

The Rome Stop: Design and Heritage at Bivium (Six Senses Rome)

For the debut of this narrative, we chose a location that mirrors Cesari’s respect for history and drive toward modernity: BIVIUM Restaurant at Six Senses Rome.

Within the walls of Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, the UNESCO-protected façade meets contemporary interiors designed by Patricia Urquiola. In this space, where traditional travertine and cocciopesto meet avant-garde lines, Amarone Bosan found its ideal stage, creating an aesthetic and sensory bridge between Valpolicella’s heritage and international design.

Milanese Excellence: Michelin-starred Dining with Carlo Cracco

The second leg of the “Six Faces, One Soul” tour brought Bosan to Milan’s Ristorante Cracco in Galleria, one of the city’s most symbolic landmarks, just steps from the Duomo.

Here, Cesari’s Contemporary Soul met the vision of Chef Carlo Cracco. Within the refined setting of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan’s architectural brilliance mirrored the chef’s precision. Cracco masterfully interpreted the nuances of Amarone Bosan, transforming the tasting into a journey between memory and culinary innovation.

The menu featured bold food pairings that opened new perspectives, rewriting the rules of matching a great red wine. This innovative approach highlights the depth and harmony of Amarone, alongside unexpected flavours—such as shellfish and freshwater fish—delivering surprises with every sip.
